Supernatural season 10.

The Road so far.....
So the first episode back from the end of season 9 is titles 'Black' which relevantly describes the state that Dean Winchester is now in. Waiting after the reveal of the demon eyes was absolute hell... oops.

I need to talk about how much I adore this show... ten years of pure gratifying and amazing story lines, manipulating the horror and crime genres with classic lore horror stories. The earlier seasons explored this a lot, that was the main focusing until it switched it up more to focus more firmly on Dean and Sam's characters and then through the introducing of Castiel, things flew off...oops.  Supernatural deserves more awards and recognition, heck I even spent close to three months doing nothing else apart from watching 7 seasons of the show since I had never heard of it before, I kept seeing it all over my Tumblr dashboard and I succumbed to see what all the fuss was about, and it sure was justified. I cannot describe how much I love the show and its characters, through the highs and lows it just keeps getting better, season 20 anyone?

I love coming back after a hiatus and seeing the title cards... 'the road so far', yes this is a journey give it to me. The music just makes it all dramatic. I'm talking about 'Black' season 10 episode 1 now.But before we start can I just say, I did like Gadreel at the end, but gahh it was so frustrating I just wanted to slap Sam and make him realise he had an angel in him (no not Gabriel ;). Sorry the montage is bringing back memories. Oh don't get me started on Metatron I could punch him. Oh Castiel becoming human was genius I thoroughly enjoyed it all, Misha played it excellently. Oh Abaddon was an amazing character too. Ah crap watching Dean dying in Sam's arms again.... that was tough. Here we go cue close up........ bamn demon eyes.

I love this first scene, a demon is classical tied up talking to a character out of shot, we all except it to be Dean, because the demon is saying look what you've become etc, but I love the panning around her face until the shot changes and we see Sam. He does not look happy, he's like an aggressive dog, where's my brother!! Well Sam you should realise by now the demon ain't gunna tell you. Then boom new title cards! I love them, a mix of angel grace and demon signs, straight away setting you up for a season full of Castiel's missing grace troubles and Demon Dean.

Now four weeks later after Dean woke up and the season ended we are brought back to the bunker, can I just say the camera angles and movements are superb, I enjoy them immensely, as shown below, love a good mirror scene. Sam just looks so drained, and you can gather through the amount of books on the table that he has been searching non stop for his brother. What I was disappointed with was the lack of reactions from both Sam and Castiel at Deans disappearance, yeah we learn Dean left Sam a note later on, but it wasn't sufficient enough.

To be continued....
